particleIllusion (PI) Clips

All clips in this section of the Clip Archive were created using the free emitter libraries included with particleIllusion software by wondertouch.

particleIllusion by wondertouch is one of the premiere programs for the creation of special effects and is widely used by creative professionals and individuals in a variety of fields (e.g., film production, commercial broadcasting, game content creation, etc). It is a sprite based, standalone application that allows you to quickly and easily create amazing effects such as fire, smoke, fog, waterfalls, sparks, sparkles, fireworks, rain, snow, puddle splashes, motion graphics backgrounds, magic effects, space warps, abstract lights, lava, flocks of birds, geometric shapes, aurora, bubbles, waves, rainbows, light beams and more.

One of the great strengths of particleIllusion is the huge library of emitters ("effects") that is included - over 2200 emitters are currently available plus wondertouch releases a new free library each month. The effects in the emitter libraries can be quickly and easily modified to create subtle variations or entirely new effects. This large library of emitters was used to create the clips contained in this section of the Clip Archive.

Each of the clips in this section were originally rendered as an avi file at 30 fps and then converted to .wmv format (MS-MPEG4-V3 video codec and resolution of 640x480) due to file storage and bandwidth considerations. The clips range in length from 4 seconds to 20 seconds, depending on the emitter used for that clip. An image preview is provided for each clip. However, because of the time and effort required, video previews are not being provided at this time.

These clips are being made available to you as long as their intended use is for PERSONAL, NONCOMMERCIAL PURPOSES. All other uses or subsequent re-distribution of these clips is prohibited without the prior agreement of wondertouch and Neo's Movie Maker Portal as to their intended use.

These clips have been grouped into the following categories to hopefully allow you to more quickly find a clip:
